3M™ Petrifilm™ Plate Count analyses the total bacterial count in liquids. A 3M Petrifilm Set consists of a Petrifilm, sterile pipettes, sample jars and a spreader. After the collection of a sample of a neutral liquid such as tap water or ground water in the sterile sample container, a pipette is used to place 1 ml of the sample on a Petrifilm. After incubation the indicator turns all areas of bacteria in the 3M Petrifilm red.
