A hygienic end result, besides stain-free textiles, is of great importance to a laundry's customers. Our training course “Microbiology in practice” combines theory and practice. During the first session, we take samples of textiles, hard surfaces and different types of water together. In the second session, the focus is on assessing and interpreting the results.

What will you learn during the training?

Around the practical part, the training also covers the background of hygiene and microbiology, the different types of microorganisms and actions to take in case of deviations. The training is completed with an exam at the end of the 2nd session. Participants will learn:

  • More on the hows and whys of hygiene.
  • How they can perform hygiene checks themselves.
  • What is important in proper assessment of control materials.
  • What actions they should take in case of discrepancies.
  • What is the benefit of disinfection and when it should be applied.

Practical information

This training is designed for quality controllers, washers, RABC team members and managers. The training preferably consists of two sessions that take place within 36 to 48 hours of each other. Both sessions last 3.5 to 4 hours and are scheduled as morning or afternoon sessions by mutual agreement. It is also possible, by mutual agreement, to take the training in one full day, . The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 10 persons per session, so that during the practical part there is sufficient attention for each participant. Upon satisfactory evaluation of the final exam, participants receive a certificate with their final grade.
