For clear insights

Simple washing process controls

CCD offers wash process audits where we visit and go through one wash process from start to finish. This audit provides an accurate assessment of how the washing process is performing without the complexity of a full validation. It allows you to quickly see if the processes meet the set hygiene standards and provides a clear overview of current quality. Meanwhile, we have accumulated years of expertise in improving quality and hygiene within industrial washing processes.

How do we work?

In addition to your own controls

Independent review

Our laundry process checks provide an independent assessment of the performance of the laundry process, in addition to the checks your detergent supplier may perform. We look specifically at how well the process removes dirt and stains, disinfects and whether the final product meets hygiene standards. As a specialist team, CCD helps provide reliable, objective insights into the quality of your processes – very important for clean and safe results.

All questions

Can CCD help with specific technical problems in my washing process?

Yes, definitely! During a wash process audit, our specialists follow the entire process from start to finish. This is done using a written out washing process, usually supplied by the detergent supplier. We perform visual assessments as well as measurements with a calibrated temperature logger and other measuring devices. With these, we compare the performance of the washing process with the expected settings and previous measurements. If possible, we also take water samples during different phases of the washing process so that we can perform even more detailed analyses and recommend targeted improvements.

Can CCD help me choose the right cleaning products?

Absolutely! As an independent consulting firm, our specialty is to objectively assess the performance of cleaning processes. We often do this from a quality assurance perspective and, of course, this can also be of value when choosing a supplier or type of cleaning product. This is how we help you make the best choice for your specific situation.

Can CCD help reduce costs in my cleaning process?

Sure! CCD makes the performance of cleaning processes objectively measurable, allowing areas for improvement to be quickly identified. This can help reduce the need for re-cleaning – or over-washing. The result? Lower costs for water, energy, chemicals and labor. In addition, an optimized process increases your team’s productivity. Sometimes, measurements show that the cleaning process is already working well, allowing you to perform the cleaning process shorter, at a lower temperature or with less chemistry, for example. By measuring regularly, you can better control costs structurally.

Can a DES controller be used only in the washing machine?

No, the DES controller is versatile. Although this type of bioindicator is often used to measure disinfection in a washing machine, variants are also available for other applications. The KT4-6 and KT3-7 are widely used and contain the Enterococcus faecium as indicator organism, inoculated on textile patches in varying amounts. The microorganisms are protected by a semipermeable membrane. This membrane prevents the test germs from washing off, while allowing chemicals and heat to pass through. This technique is also used for DES controllers that measure disinfection in professional dishwashers, bedpan washers, room disinfection with H₂O₂ or autoclaves. Each type of DES controller uses indicator organisms specifically tailored to the particular application to ensure reliable results.
